What if We Have Neglected Ourselves?

 

· Indulge in an activity that you used to enjoy before mental illness appeared, have deliberate times off, even if it’s half an hour a day – this is part of our ‘treatment’!

· Revisit the healthy diet, more fruit, veg, berries, nuts, fish, whole grain foods (less salt, less sugar)

· Daily puffing exercise at your level

· Or singing in the shower

· Appropriately used prescribed drugs

· Adequate sleep hygiene

· When in a good mood, write down your good memories about yourself, family and relative

· Practise stress management & relaxation skills – focus on this moment.
