STRENGTHENING YOUR ARAFMI - Invitation & Recruitment

 

ARAFMI Tasmania is going from strength to strength. We wish to welcome aboard our new members, and our new Helpline Support Carers. We have now successfully unified into one State body and have finalised our State Strategic Plan and our Operational plan. The role of the community and community organisations through creating greater awareness, support, education, training and postvention as well as promoting healthy communities is well acknowledged. All ARAFMI volunteers are requested to provide a current Police Check. (ARAFMI will assist with the $5 cost of this check.)  Contact us for information Ph. 6228 7448.

 

Some key areas that have been identified include strengthening our support base through recruiting volunteers. Volunteering is a worthwhile and valued means of giving to and supporting your community. ARAFMI is all about carers helping and supporting carers by sharing skills, ideas, resources and connections. ARAFMI can be further strengthened through your participation and involvement. Do any of the following areas interest you?

 

Newsletter, pamphlet, booklet production?                                                        

 

Pamphlet and flier distribution?                                                                                        

 

Computer processing & database maintenance?                                                                         

 

Library & library database maintenance?                                                                        

 

Helpline support person? (training required, and provided)                                          

 

Community & Mental Health Services meeting representation?                                              

 

Committee member on ARAFMI Tasmania steering committees?

ARAFMI is a Non Government Organisation that has Not For Profit and Charitable Status.

Your donation will help assist families and relatives, helping to support and keep them in their caring role.

Your cheque, money order, or book of stamps can be made out to ARAFMI Tasmania

and posted to

P.O. Box 717 Moonah Tas 7009.

A receipt for your tax deduction and a letter of thanks will be forwarded to you.
