The Board of Management

 

On 25 August 2007, ARAFMI Tasmania held an Annual General Meeting at which committee members from the 2 organisations joined into a new Board. We will run more state-wide services, make use of our respective strengths, have more lobbying clout, streamline particular aspects like the web site, and probably find it easier to attract grant funds. Southern and northern committees will continue to run the daily affairs, group meetings and office, library and telephone support. Members from these committees will sit on the Board. We await a representative from the northwest group. The State-wide board is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the organisation.

Membership will entitle you to vote at AGMs,

to stand for nomination yourself, or

nominate your preferred individual.

The AGM will be held alternately in Launceston or Hobart.
